Police and the owner of the building were called to come to the scene and sort this out.

Two Thunder Bay Police Service cruisers responded to the scene, and upon inspection of the gun it was determined it was from the world war 1 or world war 2 era.

Polce struggled to unload the gun, as it was heavily rusted and deteriorated. The gun had to be unloaded for transport.

  1. Looks like a sporterized Carcano 91/38 6.5 x52 Modelo 1895. This is the type of rifle used by Lee Oswald to shoot or shoot at JFK.

  2. Im no gun expert, but it sure looks like a bad idea to be checking for a round while resting the muzzle nearly vertical on a concrete floor ?

  3. unnecessary panic.. Really they call the police?? Just call anyone that’s a gun owner (theres thousands of us in Thunder Bay) Anyone can open the action and see if theres a round chambered.. even then.. so what? Guns aren’t scary.. ignorant people are the real threat.
