Numerous witnesses say the incident unfolded when patrons of a notorious bar got into a heated altercation.

Allegations are that a man struck another man’s girlfriend, resulting in a knife being taken out and one person being stabbed.

Other people became involved and tried to physically address the situation, which only resulted in two more people getting knifed.

The male suspect fled the scene on foot and to the best of our knowledge, has not been apprehended by police as of yet.

The weapon used was a kitchen steak knife. It is unknown if the victims and the accused are known to each other.

  2. There are too many people hanging around on this corner and now the stories of gun shots knifings and fist fights are increasing. What can be done about this? It’s time Newfies shut their doors and moved on. I’ve stepped inside there a few years ago and it stinks like piss in there. Gross.

  3. Loops, There will always be a place like Newfies. Close the door and it will open somewhere else. Until we seriously address homelessness, poverty and addiction the problem will inevitably move elsewhere. The people who frequent joints like Newfies will always need a place to hang out and there will always be people who are willing to accommodate the trade. It is a vicious cycle of exploitation of the most vulnerable in our society.

    1. I agree and I really like your statement. β€œIts a vicious cycle of exploitation of the most vulnerable in our society. β€œ
That bar location used to have some class.

  4. In the twenty-five years that I lived in TB and the fifty years that I have been away I have never seen or read investigative reporting like this from TB. Good for you…..
