(THUNDER BAY, ON) โ€“ Another violent late shift for local Macโ€™s employees, this time at the Simpson Streetย location around 9:15 pm this evening.

Reports are coming in about a white male that was harassing customers outside the location for money. Upon failing to obtain much if any cash, he entered the store.

The male then brandished a knife and physically bumped a customer out from in front of the counter. He then proceeded to demand cash from the 2 employees behind the counter.

The culpritย was then told by the clerk that there was no money, and was refused any cash. This made the suspect seemingly irritated as he said โ€œWhat? Are you serious? Come on man!โ€ and demanded the cash once again. Again, the clerk said there was none and denied his request for cash.

โ€œGIMME THE MONEYโ€ the culprit demanded a third time while leaning in a bit with his knife. โ€œNot todayโ€ is basically what the Macโ€™s employee could have said, as he wasnโ€™t having none of that, and denied the man once again.

It was at this point that the second Macโ€™s employee started to walk over from around the counter and the culprit became spooked and fled the store.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male wearing a green sweater and green bandana with blue jeans.

Thunder Bay Police Service responded quickly to the sceneย and obtained a description of the male. Police started to patrol the area looking for a suspect that matches the suspect.

A resident in the Rowan and Mackenzie area reports to us that they saw someone matching the failedย robbers description getting arrested shortly after this incident.

We will know more tomorrow, stay tuned.
