(FORT FRANCES, ON) – A 39-year-old Christopher Lee Adam Dodge appeared in a Thunder Bay bail court this morning via telephone from the Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Fort Frances.
Allegations are that Chris Dodge assaulted a woman and child, as well as damaged a door and broke it off the hinges in a fit of rage. He was arrested shortly after.
Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Maslach is presiding along with Crown Attorney Franceline AuClair and a duty counsel lawyer.
Dodge is facing the following criminal charges:
- Assault x2
- Mischief causing damage under $5000 (door)
The Crown is willing to consent to his release if an appropriate address to be released to is provided.
Duty counsel says he has an address available in the 800 block of Phair Ave, in Fort Frances.
Conditions are then proposed by the Crown, which are:
- Reside in the 800 block of Phair Ave
- No contact with the two alleged victims
- Not attend with 50 metres of anywhere the two alleged victims may be.
- Not attend an address in Fort Frances
- No weapons
The Crown tells the court that Dodge has no criminal record.
Dodge seems to agree to the release conditions, and the Justice of the Peace orders him released.
His next court date is December 10th, 2018 in a Fort Frances courtroom.
