(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Thunder Bay Police Service say that they have arrested and charged two men following a theft of an ATM in August of this year.
An investigation was launched after the machine was reported stolen in the 400 block of Northern Ave on August 25th, 2018.
The males are residents of the Thunder Bay area, one a 55-year-old John James Hewlett was charged with:
- Break and enter to commit an indictable offence
- Theft over $5000 (vehicle)
The other male, a 31-year-old Andrew Gary John Patola man has been charged with:
- Theft over $5000
The arrest of Patola took place about 5 days ago. Both males were remanded into custody pending future court dates. Andrew Patola is said to have been released on Monday, and Hewlett’s status is unconfirmed.
The matter is the subject of a publication ban, so more details are not able to be published at this point.
