(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Thunder Bay Police Service had a blue Chevrolet Cavalier pulled over near the busy intersection of Memorial and Central around the noon hour today.

A witness to the area tells us that 1 man (circled below) was placed in the back of the police cruiser. There was a female on the scene, who appeared to be gathering her things from the vehicle.

Police officers, some plain clothed, seemed to do a search of the vehicle while the man was in the back of the police cruiser.

The woman was eventually allowed to walk away from the situation and was last seen entering McDonald’s across the street.

The blue Chevrolet Cavalier was seen being towed away by a blue tow truck shortly after the woman left the scene.

Further information is not available at this time, although early speculation points to a a list of possibilities such as:

  • The vehicle was stolen
  • The male had a warrant(s) for his arrest
  • Drinking and driving
  • Something unforseen
