(KENORA, ON) – The weekend brings all the regional bail matter to the Thunder Bay Courthouse. It’s called W.A.S.H. court, which stands for Weekend and Statutory Holiday court.
Next up today was a 47-year-old Sharon Fisher, who was arrested by the Treaty Three Police Service based out of Kenora. Justice of the Peace Jennifer Neill was presiding today over Fisher. Provincial Crown Attorney P. Pasloski was also in the courtroom along with a duty counsel representative.
Fisher appeared in a Thunder Bay bail court from the Treaty Three Police Service Kenora detachment by telephone. She was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Aggravated assault contrary to section 268(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
The Criminal Code of Canada describes section 268(1), Aggravated Assault as:
Every one commits an aggravated assault who wounds, maims, disfigures or endangers the life of the complainant.
Fisher was ultimately denied bail today and was scheduled to appear in a Kenora bail court on Monday to have another swing at getting released.
