(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Thunder Bay’s own Biaggio Joseph Donovan appeared in a Thunder Bay bail court this morning by video while in police custody at the Thunder Bay Police Service station located on Balmoral. Donovan has had much social media exposure lately, with many citizens sharing their personal experiences involving their interactions with him.
Her Worship, Justice of the Zelda Kitchekeesic was presiding, along with Crown Attorney P. Pasloski and a duty counsel representative. Donovan appears upset and in disbelief that he was arrested and held for bail. He seems to be speaking in a very desperate manner, almost begging to be released.
Donovan is charged with the following criminal code offenses:
- Prowl at night
- Failure to appear in court
Donovan is denied bail today, meaning he has to stay in jail until at least his next court date. His behaviour seems to indicate that he is very displeased with this decision, by his upset tone and flailing hand gestures.
Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Kitchekeesic orders Donovan to remain in jail, and schedules him to appear in court tomorrow. He is sent back to his jail cell at Hotel Balmoral, where he will wait to be transferred to the Thunder Bay District Jail.
He will likely appear by video for another chance at bail tomorrow.
