(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A serious 3 vehicle collision has traffic slowed down at a busy south side intersection this afternoon. Police fire and ambulance are on scene.
Reports came in to our news desk about the shortly before 2:00 pm today, telling us that three vehicles were involved in the incident. One male was seen being taken to hospital with what is believed to be minor injuries.
The front end of the blue truck appears to have significant damage sustained to it. A red car also appears to have substantial damage to the front end and airbags deployed. A third white SUV seems to only have minor damage to its front end.
A traffic light pole was seen completely knocked down from being struck during the collision. There is also debris that was spotted all over the ground in the area. An older woman was also taken to hospital via ambulance.
Pedestrians and motorists alike are asked to avoid the intersection for the next little while, so that first responders can sort out the situation. Tow trucks will be hauling at least the two heavily damaged vehicles away shortly.
