(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The hardworking Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews were at it late Monday night when a 911 call came in requesting their help with a fire that was raging at a north-side hotel.
The call came in regarding the Travelodge Hotel on Memorial Ave having the second floor being taken over with smoke.
People in the building were evacuated by staff and firefighters as the smoke was building up.
Firefighters bravely entered the room where the fire was located and ensured nobody was left in there, unconscious or otherwise.
The fire was put out by the firefighters on scene, and once the flames were doused they examined the area extensively to ensure the fire did not spread through any walls or floors/ceilings.
There were no injuries to report during this incident, although the room sustained substantial damage.
Anyone with photos of the incident are asked to email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
