(DRYDEN, ON) – On December 18, 2018 at approximately 11:40 a.m. officers from the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for Highway Traffic Act offences on Highway 17, Machin Township (West of Dryden).
As a result of the stop, police seized a large quantity of drugs with an estimated street value of $ 36,200.00.
Lucas POOLE, 23 years old of Kelowna, BC has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of over 30 g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in a public place X 2 contrary to Section 8(1) (a) of the Cannabis Act.
- Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of selling X 2 contrary to Section 10(2) of the Cannabis Act.
- Drive a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to Section 12(1) of the Cannabis Act.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 11, 2019 to answer to the charges.
