(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a robbery.

Officers were dispatched to Walkover Street and Clarkson Avenue just after 2 am. on December 19th, 2018, following reports that a cab driver had been robbed by two males.

The cab driver picked up one male outside of The Foundry bar on Red River Road and a second male at the corner of Court Street and Red River Road.

One of the suspects requested the driver stop at a residence in the zero-to-100 block of Walkover Street. Once the cab arrived the accused males robbed the driver of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

The suspects were last seen running southward through the McDonald’s drive-thru on Red River Road.

Both suspects are described as Caucasian males in their early 20s with thin builds.

One suspect wore a black toque, black jacket with fur on the hood, grey shirt, light-coloured skinny or tight pants, and beige Timberland style boots.

The other suspect had dark hair and wore a black jacket with a hood, black shoes and grey pants at the time of the robbery.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the Thunder Bay Police Service has obtained and is releasing images from video surveillance showing the suspects.
