THUNDER BAY POLICE TO THE RESCUE AFTER MAN ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTS TWO PEOPLE AND PULLS OUT KNIFE AFTER BEING REFUSED CASH TO BUY ILLEGAL DRUGS.

Appearing this morning, Saturday December 29,2018 via video from the TBPS Station in Courtroom 104 is 39 year old KRIS MAMAGEESIC

It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. Her Worship, Anna Gibbon is presiding. Provincial Crown Gordon Fillmore is here along with Federal Crown Arturo Acosta and Duty Counsels Andrew Desmoulin and Aranka Golphy.

MAMAGEESIC was arrested last evening by TBPS at his home. He was consuming alcohol with another man and woman when he asked for money to buy illegal drugs. His request was refused, and he allegedly became violent and assaulted the 2 people.

They barricaded themselves in a bedroom and phoned 911. MAMAGEESIC then got the door partially open and had a knife in his hand.

Thunder Bay Police arrive to rescue the two people and take MAMAGEESIC into custody. He’s released on 250$ no deposit bail with next court date of January 25,2019.
He’s ordered not to have contact with his victims.
