Appearing this New Year Tuesday morning, January 1,2019 via telephone from the Police Station at Pikangikum Indian Reserve #14 in Courtroom 104 is 15 year old female H.S.
She is a young offender and only her initials will be used.

Itโ€™s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today. His Worship, Bruce Leaman is presiding. Provincial Crown Jane Ann McGill is here along with Duty Counsel.

Court hears that H.S. was arrested by Pikangikum OPP for a vicious assault on another young female member of the reserve.

Itโ€™s alleged the assault was committed with S.Q. who was also charged but released.

Inside Edition sources indicate that the victim suffered near death injuries and the vicious assault was videotaped by H.S. & S.Q. The victim was airlifted out of Pikangikum for medical attention.

Pikangikum OPP have that video in their possession. It will be used in the prosecution of H.S. & S.Q.

Itโ€™s alleged the assault was committed with S.Q. who was also charged but released.

H.S. is charged with assault causing bodily harm, mischief (for destroying the victimโ€™s iPhone), uttering threats to kill and uttering threats to burn down the home of the victim.
Crown Attorney McGill is not consenting to release H.S. due to the extremely violent nature of this assault.

H.S. is ordered by the court not to have any contact with her co-accused S.Q. or the victim of their alleged vicious assault.

H.S. will be flown to a youth facility in Kenora and make an appearance in bail court on January 4,2019

Inside Edition sources indicate that H.S. is a recently new mother and the father is over twice her age.
