(THUNDER BAY, ON) – STORM ALEXANDER BORG SENTENCED TO 45 DAYS IN JAIL FOR BREACH OF PROBATION.
Appearing handcuffed in Courtroom 102 today, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, is 23-year-old STORM ALEXANDER BORG.
He has short hair and is wearing plaid pyjama bottoms and a dark jacket along with shiny bracelets attaching his wrists together. His grandfather is in the body of the courtroom to support him.
His Honour Justice Gary Kunnas is presiding and BORG is being sentenced for breaching his probation. The court hears that on December 12, 2018, that BORG was seen in Nipigon in the presence of his victim of a previous crime. OPP was notified but unable to locate BORG right away.
On January 2, 2019, the Emergency Response Unit of the Nipigon OPP arrested BORG and he was transported to the Thunder Bay Jail. His last breach charge got him 30 days in jail, so this must be increased for this conviction. He has spent an actual 14 days in custody to be enhanced to 21 days time served. With the statutory release, Borg will be released from jail in about 9 days.
Gladue Factors are that he’s a member of the Lake Helen Indian Reserve 53A and his great-grandparents went to residential school.
BORG is led out of the courtroom to head back to jail to serve his sentence. He has an incredibly lengthy criminal record for a 23-year-old.

Storm Borg appeared before Justice Frank Valente last evening to be sentenced for his recent crimes. He’s sentenced to 20 months in jail minus enhanced credit of 9 months. He also receives 18 months of probation and a victim surcharge fine.
He has an incredibly lengthy criminal record.
BORG WILL MOST LIKELY BE RELEASED IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS.

STORM BORG GUILTY OF DESTROYING OPP POLICE CRUISER WINDOW.
Appearing handcuffed in Courtroom 102 before His Honour Justice Gary Kunnas is STORM ALEXANDER BORG of Nipigon. Borg stands about 5’6” and has slight to medium build. A very uneven and heavily receding hairline with greasy hair combed straight back. He has large eyebrows and an oblong shaped head.
His probation order from 2015 has No Alcohol condition
Borg is pleading guilty to a number of charges.
On July 19, 2017, in Nipigon, Borg assaulted a female, threatened her with physical harm and threatened to burn her belongings. He was arrested and released on bail.
On October 31, 2017, Borg was under bail conditions not to drink alcohol. Nipigon OPP found him under the influence and tried to arrest him. He assaulted the police officer and once in the OPP cruiser, he proceeded to kick the window out of the cruiser and damage the door.
Borg has a lengthy criminal record and will be sentenced on April 6, 2018.
Thunder Bay Police remove him from the courtroom and ensure he’s transported back to Thunder Bay Jail.
