BE SAFE LADIES. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OUT OF TOWN GANG MEMBERS IN THE CITY WHO HAVE BAD INTENTIONS

A week ago, a young woman was being followed by a dark skinned male whom she did not know in a 4 door sedan. The man got out of the car and told young woman to come with him. She was chased but ultimately got away.

Thunder Bay Police were notified. The woman was told that police would put out a notification to the public.

A week laterโ€ฆโ€ฆNOTHING FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT TBPS.

  1. What is it that a “Director of Communications” is supposed to be doing ?
Its not far from getting embarrassing, if you ask me..

  2. Hopefully, that useless Director tit trys to put out a release saying it didn’t happen.
And Uncle P, puts that dead beat, right back in his place again.

  3. I find it unusual that with pretty much everyone carrying phones/cameras, no one captures these events on video or stills? A picture or video of the perpetrator, vehicle and license plate would be very useful to police and would also likely thwart the attempt.

When something like this begins, pull out the device and start recording. Streaming the event live would even be better.

  4. As much as itโ€™s convenient to assume that in someoneโ€™s moment of sheer panic & fear, itโ€™s โ€œso easy to start recordingโ€ As much of a perfect situation that would be, perhaps you should educate yourself on adrenaline and the bodies reaction of โ€œfight or flightโ€ Luckily our bodies are still programmed with the innate response to flee and save oneself, rather than โ€œlet me just stop, letโ€™s fumble with my phone, maybe get abducted and start rollingโ€.

Clearly those saying โ€œgrab your phone and video themโ€ also love watching horror movies and preach how theyโ€™d be โ€œprosโ€ at getting away. Go walk around Thunder Bay by yourself and see how youโ€™d feel in the situation.

  5. I was followed home from fort William road Wednesday night. I drive a truck with a lift kit. This car was so close all I could see was the top of his windshield from my rear view mirror. I drove around till he left. I actually put my brakes on at one point and he weaved into the oncoming lane so he would go under my truck. Then he took off on the next side street.

  6. Believe me if I was that women being chased my phone or camera would be the last thing on my mind . Yes it would be nice if you could take your time and think of doing all these things you have suggested .
