THE BRODIE STREET INCIDENT.

COLLECTION NIGHT WITH A GUN

Just before 3 am on Sunday, February 3, 2019, there were allegedly 2 armed men, one with a shotgun and another with a revolver who showed up at 300 Brodie Street South. The front window of door was broken and armed men entered the building declaring that it was payment collection night.

Someone called 911 and reported the 2 armed men in the building.

Police respond to the location with the Emergency Task Unit to contain the area and evacuate residents. The 2 armed individuals are already gone.

TBPS locate JASON MAYER in a domestic dispute situation who was WANTED on arrest warrants but never featured on Wanted Wednesday or any other day.

There are no indications that MAYER was involved with the weapons. It is not known if he was the one who was being collected upon either.

The police remained on the Brodie Street scene for about 12 hours.

It is not known if any others were arrested.

Strangely enough, this whole incident might have been avoided had the Director of Communications notified the public about this wanted person.

Much like the man who was stabbed in the neck for a cigarette by a wanted person.

The Director appears to be putting the public at risk by failing to do his job.

Itโ€™s just a matter of time before someone is killed because the public isnโ€™t notified.
