(THUNDER BAY, ON) – MUSAB KHAMIS SABOON turned himself in to the Waterloo Region Police Service early this morning around 1 a.m.
SABOON was wanted by city police on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder and kidnapping in relation to the homicide investigation of Lee Chiodo.
SABOON may appear by video in Thunder Bay Bail Courtroom 104 this morning.
There will be nothing to consider by the court today.
A murder charge in Canada means an automatic detention order is issued so he doesn’t have an entitlement to a bail hearing. The next step will be to submit a bail review in front of a Superior Court of Justice.
Arrangements are being made to return the accused to Thunder Bay where he will make a future court appearance.
