(THUNDER BAY, ON) – TWELVE YEAR OLD KNIFE WIELDING YOUNG OFFENDER ARRESTED AT GUNPOINT BY THUNDER BAY POLICE.
COURT RECORDS INDICATE HE IS 12 BUT MAY ACTUALLY BE 15.

Appearing by video from TBPS Balmoral Station this morning Tuesday March 12,2019 in Bail Courtroom 104 is 12 year old B.S.
He is wearing dark clothing and appears to be the slightly above average size of 12 year old.
Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Maslach is presiding. Provincial Crown Tamara Fairchild is here along with Defence Attorney Richard Garrett.
Thunder Bay Police were called for a domestic altercation in the Limbrick social housing area. Two officers on the way to the exact location encountered a 12 year old male brandishing a knife at them.
Officers draw guns on the 12 year old male, order him to toss the knife and drop to his knees. The 12 year old complies with orders from TBPS. The young criminal is handcuffed and arrested.
Twelve year old B.S. is charged with:
- Carrying a knife dangerous to public peace.
- Resist police.
B.S. is released to go live in the south end. His next court appearance is March 21,2019.
OUTSTANDING CRIMINAL CHARGES
It’s alleged that late in the evening on April 27,2018, B.S. and 4 others jumped the fence on to the property at Thunder Bay Auto Parts located at 520 Squier Street. B.S. was caught along with 1 other youth. Three other youth managed to escape. It’s alleged that B.S. was in possession of numerous keys for vehicles on the property. He was charged with trespassing by night and theft
B.S. is also facing a charge of arson from an earlier date at a reserve. He was arrested and charged by Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.
