(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Officials at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre have together declared an outbreak at the hospital.
The unit impacted is the Oncology unit 1A and the issue is respiratory and stomach flu, influenza.
Visitor restrictions are in place for the time being. Masks and gowns must be worn during visits and each patient is restricted to one person at a time.
If you are on a patients list of visitors, you should be allowed to visit. Call ahead to confirm.
Potential visitors are asked to call the hospital ahead of any planned visits to ensure you are on the list and visits are accessible.
