(GREENSTONE, ON) – On the 9 of April 2019 at 5:30 pm members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint from an employee at the Robins Donuts of an alleged robbery attempt with a weapon.
Police attended the scene and spoke with the complainant. The investigation revealed that a suspect wearing a scarf and hoody entered the store with an axe and demanded money. The clerk refused to hand over money and immediately called 911. The suspect subsequently fled on foot.
An investigation has been commenced by the OPP North West Region Crime Unit with assistance from the Greenstone Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
The suspect is described as:
- First Nations female
- Slim build
- Was wearing a plain black scarf similar in style to a neck warmer to hide her identity
- WEas wearing a hoody
- The axe was described as having a short wooden handle with a rusty head and blade.
