(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Wednesday has come once again, with that naturally comes one new addition to the list of wanted people on the Wanted Wednesday program. Some people are confused why they keep seeing the same faces week after week, so allow me to explain.
The Thunder Bay Police Service in the past had posted 4 new wanted people every Wednesday. After the program had been running for over a year, they decided to reduce the number of wanted people posted every week to one person. This move was justified by the police service claiming it has been a success which resulted in the number of wanted people that fit the requirements of the program to plummet, according to police.
The Wanted Wednesday program typically keeps people on the public list until they have been arrested or 5 weeks has passed. People will often see the same faces week after week because it is the same faces week after week. Only one new face appears.
Other news sources only seem to post the newest addition, we post whoever is still active on the program. I hope this clears up any confusion although something tells me the people who are confused are likely also mostly the people who don’t actually read articles and just glance at the photos. Maybe I should make a moving-picture story website/news site for them, there seems to be a lot.
