(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Late this evening caused quite a stir at the Landmark Hotel located near the intersection of Dawson Road and the Trans-Canada Highway 11/17.
Witnesses in the area tell TRCCTB.COM that they hear a loud BANG and when they looked over, saw the truck with airbags deployed resting near the wall. This is said to have happened shortly before 11:00 pm this evening.
The truck bounced back after hitting the wall, possibly from a strong impact. It is not believed that anyone suffered any life-threatening injuries due to the collision.
Brianne Fisher tells us that her mother was the driver of this truck. She further tells us that her mother has really bad diabetes and low blood pressure. This is likely the result of some form of a diabetic attack.
Fisher tells us that her mother is not facing any criminal charges and that the Landmark Hotel was compassionate about her mother’s well-being.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue had a pumper truck arrive on scene along with a Superior North EMS Ambulance and of course, the Thunder Bay Police Service made an appearance as well.
