(KITCHENER, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a former real estate lawyer with two counts of fraud following an investigation into the misappropriation of money from his law firm’s trust account.
On Sunday May 5, 2019 members of the OPP’s Anti-Rackets Branch arrested and charged 37-year-old Stuart Cameron MURRAY of Kitchener with two counts of Fraud Over $5000.
He previously operated a practice named “Mullun Law” with office locations throughout Ontario; including Kitchener, Ottawa, Toronto, Oakville, and Sudbury.
Losses attributed to 49 victims in this case are believed to total over $1.5 million.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on June 12, 2019 to answer to the charges.
