(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Shortly before midnight tonight, numerous police cruisers responded to multiple reports of a violent outdoor beat down happening on the troubled street.
Witnesses in the area tell TRCCTB.COM that one male was seriously beaten by about 5 people after the victim of the beating had beaten two women and choked them. A number of people from the neighbourhood came rushing to the womens aid.
The male victim had his head and body booted, stomped and beaten. This resulted in him getting knocked the f**k out. He then regained consciousness but the beating continued and he got sent right back to snooze town (he got knocked out again).
Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service and Superior North EMS responded to the scene in record time, our first responders are impeccable. The victim was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where the mid-twenties aged male is expected to recover from not only his injuries, but his incoming hangover from being intoxicated on alcohol. The two female victims refused to goto the hospital.
The group that beat down the victim fled the scene and we are uncertain at this point if any arrests have been made. Police are combing the area for the suspects.
The incident occurred in the 100 block of the notorious Picton Avenue, which has grown a reputation for drug trafficking, substance abuse, gang presence and violence.
