(MARATHON, ON) – A member of the Marathon OPP detachment initiated a traffic stop after observing a truck travelling at a high rate of speed.
After a quick investigation it was determined that the driver of a blue truck was doing 147 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
The Toronto driver was charged with stunt driving and had their license suspended and vehicle impounded for 7 days each.
During the course of the investigation, the driver told the OPP officer that he had just stopped to take a picture of a moose???
The OPP would like to remind motorists to obey all posted speed limits and to remain aware of wildlife.
Slow down and drive safe.
