(DRYDEN, ON) – The Dryden Police Service has charged 46-year-old Raymond MEEKIS of Dryden, ON with the following:
- Mischief over $5000.
The charge was laid after a patients room was extensively damaged at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
On June 13, 2019 Dryden Police Service received a 911 call after the accused became violent and began throwing items around the room. When police arrived, hospital staff had contained the accused in the room as he continued to damage hospital property.
Police immediately placed MEEKIS under arrest. MEEKIS also faces charges of Failing to comply with Probation Order and Failing to comply with an Undertaking (bail conditions). MEEKIS has been held in custody and will appear in Bail Court on June 19, 2019 in Dryden, ON.
There were no reports of anyone being injured or assaulted during this incident.
