(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Reports from a concerned citizen have informed us that there is a significant police presence in the south side of the city at the moment.
An eyewitness who wishes to remain anonymous has told TRCCTB.COM via our tipline 807-355-8917 that they have seen about 7 to 8 police cruisers attend a home on Vickers street. Officers were spotted swarming the home “fast”, according to our eyes in the area.
The home, located between Dease and Finlayson is believed to be a crack house supplied by a southern Ontario gang.
Drugs such as crack and fentanyl are believed to have been present and available for purchase until police shut it down early this morning.
Police have not confirmed that this was a drug bust, but our source in the area says that the address is notorious for heavy foot traffic in and out all daily which is consistent with drug trafficking behaviour. The raid is likely apart of “Project Disruption”, which is an ongoing operation involving multiple police agencies to hammer away at southern Ontario gangs in Thunder Bay and the region.
This is a developing story and we will have another article out later today when more information becomes available.
