(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The murder scene at a North Algoma Street address has been lingering for sometime now, with many people wondering what happened.
Today, the Thunder Bay Police Service released the name of the murder victim, 59-year-old David Hugh Sweeney.
Thunder Bay Police Service needed time to notify next of kin, and for the autopsy to be completed, and some results to come forward.
The scene is still being held, as police continue to urge the public to come forward with any information surrounding the incident.
Several residents in the area said they heard gunshots about 15 to 30 minutes before police swarmed the house in question.
Police have not yet revealed how this man has died, or how the murder victim on Cummings Street died.
Sources indicate that drugs were being sold from this house, and that there was a struggle over “control” of the back alley beside the house.
The struggle was said to be due to other drug houses that use the back alley.
