(MORSON, ON) – Members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are requesting the public’s assistance in solving five break and enters that occurred on the Red Wing Road, in the Morson area over the past week.


Unknown culprit(s) entered the seasonal residences and stole numerous items including: alcohol, a generator, a television and a number of firearms.

OPP Scenes of Crime Officers and the Forensic Identification Unit are being utilized.

The investigations are in the early stages, and are ongoing.

  1. These 5 break ins are just the tip of the iceberg. B&E’s plus theft have been happening quite frequently in the last few years in this particular area, affecting both businesses and private homes. Sadly, area residents now need to be vigilant in ensuring their property is secure and safe, where not so long ago it was never an issue.

  2. People still doing B&Es. Its a right of passage. You break in to my land. I break into your house. What charges were there for breaking into LAND? As the old saying goes. Its a phase, many of us go through.
