CHARLES HASTINGS ARRESTED INSIDE MAY STREET AUTO BUSINESS DURING BREAK AND ENTER
A 55-year-old CHARLES JAMES HASTINGS appeared via video from Thunder Bay Police Station in Bail Courtroom 104 this morning, Saturday, March 24, 2018, before Justice of The a Peace Denette Maslach.
Hastings was arrested last evening by Thunder Bay Police inside Harmer’s Quality Auto Service located at 202 May St. North.
He allegedly broke into the business and had break and enter tools in his possession (a hammer and screwdriver)
He’s facing 2 charges: Break & Enter, Possession of Break In Instruments.
Hastings has very messy hair and is wearing a white sweater with sleeves and collar cut off.
Crown Attorney Gordon Fillmore wants Hastings to show cause why he should be released. There are concerns on secondary grounds.
Hastings lawyer David Young has been contacted.
Hastings will be kept in custody and transferred to the Thunder Bay Jail today.
He’ll appear via video on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 12:45 pm from the Thunder Bay Jail.
