Appearing this morning in bail courtroom 104 before Justice of The Peace Denette Maslach. via video from the OPP station in Armstrong, Ontario is 22-year-old Tashena Keesick.
Keesick was arrested overnight after she had allegedly went to the victim’s house, got into an argument, kicked a truck and punched the victim in the face. The victim left the scene in their truck and called the police. Upon police meeting up with the victim, they noted there was dry blood on his face. Furthermore, upon police interception of the accused, she allegedly resisted police attempts to arrest her.
She is charged with.

Crown attorney Gordon Fillmore recommends release on her own recognizance with $200 non-deposit bail. Recommendations are that she is not to have contact with the victim directly or indirectly, not to attend the victims residence except on 1 occasion within 7 days to get her personal belongings, obstain from the purchase, possession or consumption of alcohol, not to attend anywhere where the principle purpose of which is the dispensing of alcoholic beverages, not to possess any firearms or weapons and to reside at her residence in Whitesand First Nation.
Duty counsel and the crown are in agreeance with these conditions. Justice Maslach inquires about whether there are children involved, duty counsel responds that there isn’t.
Keesick has previous domestic charges and breached a peace bond upon this incident.
Keesick is authorized for release and has a court date set for May 29th, 2018.
