Shaldon Wabason is up on charges stemming form the March 2011 killing of a 54 year old Robert Topping.
Break and enter to commit robbery as well as manslaughter are the charges Wabason faced.
Wabason was sentenced to 10 years in jail for these charges and won his chance to have a second trial.
He is obtaining a new lawyer currently, and the court was told by May 28th they will know if the new lawyer has been secured and what the following steps will be.
Wabason is currently in custody in Saskatchewan.
