“WHAT IS THE NAME YOUR MOTHER GAVE THE SOVEREIGN BEING” ?
SOVEREIGN BEING MAKES VIDEO BAIL COURT APPEARANCE MONDAY APRIL 9,2018 AND GETS IDENTIFIED.
Appearing by video from the Thunder Bay Jail in Courtroom 104 this afternoon, Monday April 9,2018 is a previously unidentified male. The male is of average height and weight with a heavily receded hairline to the top of his head and dark hair beyond that. He’s wearing the traditional orange jail attire. He was arrested by Nipigon OPP.
Crown Attorney Mary Anne Mackett is present as is Duty Counsel Aranka Golphy.
Justice of the Peace Marcel Donio is presiding and asks “What is your name?”
Unidentified male states “I don’t go by a name. I’m a sovereign being”.
His Worship Donio replies “What is the name your mother gave the sovereign being?”
There are a few chuckles in the courtroom at His Worship’s question.
Crown Attorney Mackett has some information provided by police. The “sovereign being” has a human name of SHANNON JAMES McCARDLE. He’s 49 years old and from British Columbia. The court hears he has warrants for his arrest on assault and obstruction charges from 3 years ago in British Columbia.
McCardle is a self-proclaimed Freeman-on-the-Land and one of a growing number of Canadian followers of the so-called “sovereign citizen” or “Natural Persons” movement. Apparently there are several thousand people in this movement mostly in Western Canada.
He says something about the only people who need names are lawyers. Duty Counsel Aranka Golphy goes into privacy booth to speak in private with “Sovereign Being”
There is a citizen in gallery whom I strike up a conversation with. She’s here to support “sovereign being”. She tells me he will be released today and that the accused is a “healer”. I’m also told by her that the whole system will be blown up by this case (something I seriously doubt)
Duty Counsel Golphy returns. She states these circumstances are unusual and ridiculous. She suggests to the court that McCardle be released from jail as it was just a speeding infraction of 15km/h over the limit.
Crown Attorney Mackett responds that he’s in jail because of obstruction of a police officer. Along with the fact that he has no license causes concern about public safety about his driving ability, he refuses to cooperate, driving uninsured causes potential public liability and his outstanding warrants that he has not dealt with in British Columbia cause concern about his release. She will not consent to his release.
SHANNON JAMES McCARDLE IS REMANDED INTO CUSTODY AT THE THUNDER BAY JAIL.
He’ll make a video appearance again Tuesday, April 10,2018.
NO OTHER LOCAL MEDIA IS PRESENT.
(Perhaps the Sovereign Being Healer can heal a few inmates at the Thunder Bay Jail while he is there)
Sunday April 8,2018
AND HE SPED DOWN THE HIGHWAY AS THE MAN WITH NO NAME.
UNTIL THE COPS GOT HIM OUT OF THE CAR.
BUT IN THE JAIL, HE WOULDN’T SAY HIS NAME.
AND THE JUSTICE WON’T GIVE NO RELEASE.
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la la…
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la la…
(Admit it, you sang along?????)
Last evening, the Nipigon OPP conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. The driver refused to identify himself. He was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Police by willfully withholding his identity. He has no identification.
It’s W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today, Sunday April 8,2018. His Worship, Marcel Donio is presiding. Provincial Crown Adriana Nigro is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge.
“Man with no name” is appearing via telephone and states to His Worship Donio “I HAVE NO NAME”
He further tells the court “Providing my identity would be a fraud”.
Duty Counsel informs the court that she advised “man with no name” that he is legally obligated to provide his name under the Highway Traffic Act. She also tells the court that Mr. No Name feels it is against his beliefs to identify.
Mr. NO NAME tells the court that he pays 800$ an hour to the Crown. There is no evidence provided of this.
Ironically, Crown Attorney Nigro will not consent to releasing someone whom can not be identified.
No Name remains in custody as the Nipigon OPP attempt to identify him.
If the OPP want to send me picture of “NO NAME” in an attempt to identify, I’d be happy to assist.
