A 49-year-old JACKIE MYKE appeared by telephone in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court today, Sunday, April 15, 2018 from the Schreiber OPP station. His Worship, Bernard Caron is presiding. Provincial Crown Sarah Munch is here along with Duty Counsel James Lisowski.

JACKIE MYKE is accused of assaulting a woman twice in Terrace Bay last evening as well as damaging her vehicle, front door and glass cabinet in the home.

Crown Attorney Munch is not consenting to his release.

He has a 4-page criminal record that is all over Ontario. He tells Justice of the Peace Caron that he wants his next court date in 2 weeks so that he can contact his lawyer in London.

His Worship informs MYKE that he will be transported to Thunder Bay Jail and appear in video bail court on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

MYKE is upset by this and doesn’t want to come to court so soon. He’s content to stay in jail. But he doesn’t understand that it’s by video.

MYKE can be heard telling the OPP officer β€œDo these guys not understand shit? I’m asking for two fucking weeks and they won’t fucking give it to me”

There is some discussion in the courtroom and His Worship Caron says β€œ I’m about to give him his 2 weeks”
Duty Counsel Lisowski goes to speak with MYKE privately, then returns to tell the court that April 18, 2018 is the video date in bail court.
