COLTON JAMES HERNESHUHTA appeared by video in W.A.S.H. (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) Court on Sunday May 6,2018 from the Thunder Bay Police Station.
Her Worship, Denette Maslach is presiding. Provincial Crown Andrew Sadler is here along with Duty Counsel Lianne Roberge.
HERNESHUHTA is dressed in dark clothing and has a large head of hair. His celebrity doppelgänger would be the animated Butthead character.
He’s facing 2 charges of possession of stolen property.
A charge of assault with weapon.
And a charge of uttering threats to use a knife.
The court hears allegations that HERNESHUHTA was arrested yesterday afternoon outside the Shoppers Drug Mart on River Street in Thunder Bay. He was allegedly spotted stealing items from the store by a REAL Concerned Citizen. The citizen approached HERNESHUHTA to advise him not to steal. The accused pulled out a knife and threatened to harm the citizen with the knife.
The police arrived and arrested HERNESHUHTA in the parking lot. He was allegedly wearing stolen sunglasses from a recent vehicle break in and the knife was stolen from another recent vehicle break in.
He’s being released from custody on a recognizance and ordered not to have any weapons. He’s also ordered not to have any contact with his victims.
His next court appearance is June 5,2018.
