A 24 year old Jaymz Keir Hancock was scheduled to appear in Courtroom 105 this morning, Tuesday March 20,2018 before Justice of the Peace Anna Gibbon to have his charges related to 2 separate drugs busts last November.
Hancock failed to appear in court today and a discretionary bench warrant was issued.
Jaymz Hancock & Cheyenne Bannon were arrested on Nov 6, 2017 with an alleged quantity of drugs including crack cocaine. Bannon was on bail previously for drug offences.
There are indications that Hancock is working with one of the Southern Ontario drug gangs set up in the city.
He was released on bail on November 22, 2017 on 200$ no deposit bail.
On November 30,2017, two search warrants were executed simultaneously in two apartments on the 100 block of South Court Street Thursday around 8:30 p.m.
Officers seized $57,000 in cash along with cocaine, crack cocaine with a street value around $15,000 and $600 worth of percocets.
Police arrested 21 year old Thunder Bay man Abdul Wahab Sheikh, 24-year-old North York man Bernard Owereko-Ampomah, 24-year-old Thunder Bay man Jaymz Keir Hancock and 35-year-old Thunder Bay man Christoper Manning on drug-related charges.
Hancock was released again on bail.
In 2016, Hancock was charged with kidnapping of a teenager and extortion.
He breached his 5000$ no deposit bail at the time and was arrested after a public notice. The 5000$ still has not been paid in the estreatment process.
Hancock and his co-accused in the kidnapping were ultimately acquitted in 2017 because the teenage victim did not appear in court to testify.
