Members of the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a break and enter at a local business on March 21, 2018. The officers observed the cash registers to have been damaged and the money from inside was taken.
Video surveillance showed a male entering the establishment, and forcing open the cash registers, removing the money from inside and then the male left the business.
The male has since been arrested and charged with:
- Break and Enter contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code,
- Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code and
- Mischief contrary to section 430 (4) of the Criminal Code
The male was released on a promise to appear with a court date of April 24, 2018.
