(THUNDER BAY, ON) โ€“ A strong police presence is being felt on the south side of town right now.

Alexandra Street was swarming with Thunder Bay Police Serviceโ€™s cruisers and Emergency Task Unit officers.

Witnesses on the scene tell TRCCTB.COM that 3 suspects had fled their vehicle when police arrived. Police are combing the area.

โ€œโ€ฆcar came screaming down the street off Southern Avenue down Alexandra. Stopped on the side of the street in the 1000 block area and 3 people left the vehicle โ€“ a male and 2 females โ€“ the male screaming โ€œGet out!! Get out!! RUN!! RUN!!โ€ They took off across the street, where my neighbour witnessed them running into a house. Speculating that they did not actually run in the house or they quickly vacated as police were there instantly. 3 cop cars and about 6-7 officers.โ€ From an anonymous source.

People had seen guns and knives being removed from the vehicle that was abandoned.

Alexandra Street is just east of the CLE grounds.

The investigation is continuing, and we will update you as more information becomes available.

    1. Hey, Jill.

If you help Jack on the horse, will you help Jac,,,,, never mind.

Give them a break with being the Nazi Police. The mistakes just means it raw and new news and they want it out in a hurry. All goof.

    2. Also, excuse my spelling mistakes. The beer I’m drinking made me type the mistakes. ๐Ÿป๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ™ƒ

    3. Actually, grammar mistakes distract from the story. It doesn’t mean it’s raw, it just makes it look unprofessional and uneducated. I’m also amused by the immaturity of some people. At least I don’t have to hide behind a pseudonym to mock people online. It wasnt actually a comment intended to be posted, just a memo to the editor that they may want to proofread it again.

  1. I watched the police pursue a car through the 5 way intersection at the bottom of the east end bridge approx. 3:30. The pursued vehicle came from the north on Simpson st and went south west onto McKenzie street, They ran the red light at pretty high speed and almost hit another car headed through the intersection. The police pursued, The car was flying down McKenzie st through the school zones and right past ogden school where kids had just been dismissed.

the car was a small black or dark colour 4 dr little car like a civic or some other boring lame mobile as such. Didn’t pay too much attention as it was just a blur.

so that car came from the Alexandra steet direction just to be clear.

The car had already passed several cars on McKenzie st before it passed ogden school. They were flying (as much as that car could fly) and of course the cops are pursuing cautiously and appropriately. Good job TBPS for what I saw. I hope they accidently put their knees on the larynx of the driver when they caught him.
