Jim Gamble is going to attempt another run to win the mayor’s seat.
Gambles run for mayor in 2006 failed miserably and didn’t gain enough traction to even get 10% of the votes. The following year he also found himself in some legal trouble when he was charged with CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS, INTIMIDATION, and FAILING TO COMPLY WITH BAIL CONDITIONS.
These charges followed complaints lodged by a 42-year-old woman.
Gamble was eventually acquitted on 3 of the charges but found GUILTY of CRIMINAL HARASSMENT and BREACH OF A COURT ORDER.
Gamble has also said on social media that he “would do it again”.
Gamble was recently removed from the Facebook group “The REAL Concerned Citizens of Thunder Bay” for harassment-like behaviour towards female members and admin.
*** UPDATE JUNE 8th, 2018: Gamble has officially filed to run for the mayors office.
*** UPDATE: Sources have indicated the James Gamble was seen in the McKenzie street area, standing with a female sex trade worker, and had passed her some paper, possibly money. Our source didn’t stick around to see what followed.
