(THUNDER BAY, ON) – Overnight there was a large police presence at a busy north side street.
Sources indicate that 5 police vehicles and multiple ambulances were at the location.
Some citizens reported hearing gun shots in the area, although these reports have not been confirmed. The sounds were heard about 30 minutes before emergency services swarmed the scene.
Thunder Bay Police Service are still holding the scene of the Algoma Street home, where an incident unfolded overnight.
Thunder Bay Police Service Forensics Unit is on location as of noon hour, according to a local REAL Concerned Citizen.

The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a suspicious death on North Algoma Street. Officers remain on scene.
Further information will be made available as the investigation develops.
Investigators are looking for citizens with outdoor surveillance cameras in the area of North Algoma Street between River Street and Red River Road to call them at 684-1200.
Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area between noon and 9:00 p.m. on August 31, 2018 is asked to contact police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.p3tips.com.
There have been numerous serious incidents lately where police have been clearing out known drug dealers/houses.
