Very Violent Robbery and Kidnapping

(WINNIPEG, MB) – On September 20, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., Winnipeg Police were contacted by an adult male who reported that he had been assaulted and kidnapped the previous night.
The victim, 41, stated that a male and female had broken into his residence in Riverton, Manitoba, threatened him with a gun and knife and forced him to accompany them to Winnipeg. He was robbed of his cell phone, cash and his half-ton truck. He was also assaulted and threatened en route.  
The victim was driven to numerous locations throughout Winnipeg. At one point he was taken to a residence where a handgun was held to his head and threats were made to kill him. He was further assaulted and tied up and brought to his truck where he was again driven around the city. The victim was eventually able to escape and called police from a business in the area of Dufferin Avenue and McGregor Street. He victim sustained extensive injuries to his face and head.    
On September 21, 2019, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Winnipeg Police Major Crimes investigators located the vehicle belonging to the victim. A 32-year-old male of Winnipeg, Manitoba was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The male has been released on a Promise to Appear as prescribed by the Criminal Code of Canada.
Also located in the vehicle at this time was a second accused. Eduardo CAMPOS, (need a photo of him) a 28-year-old male of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Campos was found to be in possession of a handgun at the time of his arrest.  He was arrested and has been charged with the following: 

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a vehicle
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Possession of a firearm
  • Possession of an Unauthorized Firearm
  • Possession of a Loaded Firearm

CAMPOS was remanded into custody.
On September 26, 2019, investigators located the female suspect in the original incident. Tryli  Beatrice ANDERSON, (pictured) a 38-year-old female of Winnipeg, was arrested without incident. She was charged with the following:

  • Kidnapping
  • Break & Enter with Intent
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing It’s Unauthorized
  • Use of Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm
  • Armed Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon (x2)
  • Fail to comply with Court order (x5)
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm

ANDERSON was remanded into custody.
On October 2, 2019, investigators located the male suspect in the original incident. Reggie Jack HANSEN, (need a photo of him) a 36-year-old male from Winnipeg was located by Major Crimes detectives and arrested without incident on the strength of a warrant issued in regards to this incident. HANSEN has been charged with the following: 

  • Kidnapping
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Uttering Threats
  • Armed Robbery
  • Break and Enter with Intent
  • Fail to comply with Court order (x2)

HANSEN was remanded into custody.
