(ATIKOKAN, ON) – On August 12, 2018, at approximately 9:17 AM, members of the Atikokan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program, on MacKenzie Avenue, in Atikokan.
A vehicle proceeded into the RIDE program and officers spoke with the driver. Officers suspected that the driver had alcohol in his body and administered a test at the roadside.
The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Atikokan OPP detachment, where further tests were conducted.
Trevor ANDREWS, 46 years of age, of Atikokan, has been charged with:
- Driving with more than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and has a scheduled court date on October 3, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Atikokan.
