(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male and female with drug offences.
The charges stem from a vehicle stop for a traffic violation on Highway 11 in Marquis Township, Ontario. The Incident occurred on August 23, 2018 at 10:40 p.m.
As a result of the investigation, suspected cannabis marihuana and money was seized. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $7000.
Charged are Peter DEGEORGE, 38 years-old, of Oshawa, Ontario, with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
Kelly WALTON, 40 years-old, of Hampton, Ontario with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake Ontario on September 27, 2018.
