FORMER WINNIPEG BASKETBALL STAR BUSTED BY DRYDEN OPP WITH 8KGS OF COCAINE.
Appearing this morning, Saturday January 12,2019 via telephone from the DRYDEN OPP Station in Courtroom 104 is 29-year-old SEATON KAREEM GEORGE

GEORGE was arrested last evening near Dryden by the OPP.
It’s alleged the vehicle he was driving had a hidden compartment with 8 kilograms of cocaine.
Dryden OPP lay 2 charges on GEORGE. He’s facing possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking of cocaine.
Federal Crown Ron Poirier is opposed to the release of GEORGE. The accused wants to be released today so he can go home. He tells the court his lawyer is Danny Gunn.
Duty Counsel Wakefield tries to assist GEORGE in understanding his options but she appears to be ineffective in doing do.
GEORGE wants to appear in court as soon as possible. He seems to think his lawyer Danny Gunn will be able to get him out soon.
He wants to appear in person in Sioux Lookout Bail Court on Monday, January 14,2018.
Sources indicate that SEATON KAREEM GEORGE used to play for the University of Winnipeg Wesmen but his basketball days ended when he was showing off doing a dunk while not wearing proper attire and tore his ACL.
SEATON KAREEM GEORGE has no criminal record.
