The incident during Game 3 of the SIJHL championship finals that allegedly saw a Thunder Bay North Stars forward punch a Dryden Ice Dogs coach in the face, will head to court.
Avery Siau is scheduled to appear in court on May 25th, to begin the legal process.
Kurt Walsten was allegedly punched off-ice by the North Stars forward. Siau has been suspended for 25 games for the incident along with another incident while serving a penalty beside a Dryden player.
The Dryden coach punch incident occurred while Siau was already on a 1 game suspension, and was not dressed to play that day.
These allegations have not been proven in a court of law.
