(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On January 19, 2019 at 9:18 pm, officers of the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of an impaired driver on Kings Highway.
Officers located the described vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
Upon speaking with the male driver officers immediately determined that he had alcohol in his body. He was subsequently arrested, and transported to the Fort Frances Detachment, where more tests were to take place.
The driver refused to provide a breath sample.
As a result Christian MIANVILLE, age 50, of Couchiching has been charged with;
- Operation while impaired-alcohol contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand contrary to section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code.
He was released to appear in court in Fort Frances on March 4, 2019 to answer to the charges.
