(FORT FRANCES, ONT) – On June 24, 2018 at approximately 4:35 PM, members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment, responded to a call of a disturbance at the corner of Scott Street and Portage Avenue.
Officers located two females, one of whom had received minor injuries as a result of the altercation. As a result of the police investigation, one of the females was arrested and charged with criminal offences.
Dianne KASPER, 51 years of age, of Couchiching First Nation Territory is being charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code.
The accused will be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances in answer to the charges on June 25, 2018.
