(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On October 7, 2018 at approximately 5:12 PM, members of the Rainy River District OPP detachment were dispatched to a call of a possible impaired driver at a local restaurant drive-through.
An officer attended the scene, and located the suspect vehicle in the restaurant parking lot. The member spoke with the driver, whom he suspected had alcohol in his body. The male driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the FortFrances OPP detachment, where he unde rwent further testing.
As a result, Wyatt DESROSIERS, 24 years of age, of Naotkamegwanning First Nation Territory has been charged with the following:
- Care or Control While Impaired contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code,
- Care or Control Over 80 Milligrams contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of November 5, 2018 in answer to the charges.
