(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On October 19, 2018 at approximately 4:20 PM, a member of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrol on Highway 11, in AlbertonTownship when he observed a vehicle apparently exceeding the speed limit.
A vehicle stop was initiated, and in the conversation with the driver, the officer determined that he (the driver) had alcohol in his body.
The male was subsequently arrested and was transported to the Fort Frances OPP detachment, where he underwent further testing.
As a result, Shane PAYPOMPEE, 24 years of age, of Fort Frances, has been charged with:
- Drive over 80 Milligrams contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused has a court date November 5, 2018 at the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice in answer to the charges.
